Updated 2016 ACC Tournament bracket after second round

A look at the updated ACC Tournament bracket after the second round games

The ACC Tournament is always one of the biggest conference tournaments to watch in college basketball as it’s filled with some of the most prestigious programs in the entire country. After the first round games kicked off the 2016 ACC Tournament on Tuesday, things picked up in a big way on Wednesday with the second round games.

The No. 8 Pittsburgh Panthers narrowly got past the No. 9 Syracuse Orange in the opening game on Wednesday for the second round of the ACC Tournament. The No. 5 seed Duke Blue Devils were up next, avoiding an upset scare against the No. 12 seed NC State Wolfpack, much thanks to a big second half from Marshall Plumlee after Brandon Ingram disappeared after halftime.

Kicking off the pair of night games, the No. 10 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets pulled a slight upset out of a hat as they took the No. 7 Clemson Tigers down in overtime in another close second-round contest. The second round of the 2016 ACC Tournament was then capped off by the No. 6 Virginia Tech Hokies taking care of business and rolling past the No. 11 Florida State Seminoles.
