Cal Golden Bears vs. Utah Utes
The Cal Golden Bears are certainly one of the most talented teams in the 2016 Pac-12 Tournament, but they’ve been far too inconsistent throughout the year. They’ll look to put that to rest on Friday, though, as they’ll go into the MGM Grand Garden Arena for a Pac-12 Tournament semifinals matchup with the Utah Utes.

Jakob Poeltl for Utah is one of the best big men in the entire country and can absolutely lead the way any time that he touches the hardwood, Pac-12 Tournament stage or not. However, his job will be easier in leading the Utes if the likes of Jordan Loveridge and Kyle Kuzma can come along and provide valuable minutes for Utah in big matchups like Friday’s. As for Cal, they’re led by star freshmen Jaylen Brown and Ivan Rabb and that won’t change, but the performance of players like Tyrone Wallace around them may ultimately determine what their fate is in the Pac-12 Tournament.
