Goran Dragic threw a lob pass to Hassan Whiteside on Friday that almost hit the moon
When it’s executed to near perfection, there are few things in the sport of basketball that are more beautiful than an alley-oop play. Now there are a variety of ways the ball handler can toss the lob, and Goran Dragic definitely gave us something on Friday night that was pretty unique.
The Miami Heat are taking on the Chicago Bulls Friday night, and in the second quarter of this one Dragic took the ball through the lane and he knew he had big Hassan Whiteside in the area. So naturally, the best move was to toss the lob up to the big man and have him throw it down.
Now the odd part about the entire play? It looks as if Dragic tried to shoot the ball through the roof of the arena.
Hey, while the pass was a little unorthodox, the important part here is that it worked, so that’s really all that matters in the end when you really break it down. Plus, it’s also not like someone is gonna out-jump Whiteside to get the ball at its highest point.
So really, maybe this is something they should try more often!
