Michael Beasley, as you’d expect, followed up some solid plays by getting stuffed by the rim on a lay-up

Michael Beasley is a member of the Houston Rockets now after playing and winning an MVP and China earlier in the year. If he’s on his game and mentally engaged, Beasley could really be a force for the Rockets as they try to make a playoff push. If not, there’s going to be a lot of exasperated head shaking in Houston. He gave the Rockets a bit of both on Friday night against the Boston Celtics.

Early in the fourth quarter, Beasley made several quality plays as he was getting good offensive looks and even being aggressive on the boards. However, he followed up these solid plays by again creating space and driving into the lane, but only to get stuffed by the rim on a finger roll lay-up:

The fourth quarter and the limited time that Michael Beasley was on the floor was really a microcosm of his entire basketball-playing career. The guy is supremely talented as an athlete and basketball player, but he just has lapses in either performance or just in his mentality that are truly perplexing and often comical.

Who knows how the Michael Beasley experience ends up this season for the Houston Rockets as you can never really tell with either this player or this team. All we can hope for is at least a few more great plays and a few more laughs from Beasley before the Rockets are through this season.
