Russell Westbrook hit Kevin Durant with a nasty no-look assist against the Timberwolves on Friday
It’s really no secret at this point that Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant are at their best for the Oklahoma City Thunder when they appear fully in-sync with one another. Their talent is never in question, but the Thunder duo has the ability to just wreck worlds when they are cohesive on the hardwood. It’s safe to say that was the case on Friday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Westbrook got the ball on the right side of the floor on an outlet to start a fast break. While everyone who’s ever watched the point guard knows that he could have just put his head down and slammed home a thunderous dunk, Westbrook instead opted for the more finesse play by dropping off a no-look dime to Durant behind his back for the KD finish:

Normally when we talk about Westbrook making incredible plays, it’s him being a freak athlete or trying to dear down a rim screws and all. However, we sometimes forget just how skillful and artful of a player he’s capable of being and passes like this are just a friendly reminder.
Moreover, it feels pretty safe to say that the Thunder want to see more of this cohesive play from Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant down the stretch of the regular season. They’re one of the best teams in the Western Conference, but they need to be at this level or better consistently if they’re going to compete for a title.
