Seton Hall Pirates vs. Xavier Musketeers
The 2016 Big East Tournament might not have the luster that it once did, but it still features some of the best college basketball in the country. That’s certainly what any hoops fan would consider Friday’s Big East Tournament semifinals matchup at Madison Square Garden between the Seton Hall Pirates and the Xavier Musketeers.

Xavier is currently the No. 5-ranked team in the national polls coming into the Big East Tournament, but rank means nothing when it comes to conference tournaments. To stay upright, the Musketeers will need Trevon Bluiett, Myles Davis, and Edmond Sumner to show up in a big way like they have for much of the season if they are going to make it to the Finals in the Big East. Seton Hall has been somewhat overlooked for much of the year, but Isaiah Whitehead can flat-out play and, alongside the work of Khadeen Carrington, the Pirates will look to pull off the upset and prove their NCAA Tournament candidacy by making it to the Finals of the Big East Tournament.
