(18-47). Previous: . Brooklyn Nets. 4. team. 147.
You can’t lose to the Sixers.

That statement could be the motto of these rankings, and the Nets fell victim to Philly on Friday night. That, of course, is a bad loss under any circumstance, but Brooklyn dropped games to Minnesota and Toronto earlier in the week, and the Nets just couldn’t stand the prosperity associated with avoiding the NBA’s bottom five.

We have been vocal that the Nets have outperformed their talent level even with a relatively dismal record, but this week’s showing looked more like many expected coming into the year.

20.
D’Angelo Russell has been awesome in March, and that has to be encouraging for Lakers fans. The rookie guard has averaged 23.7 points and 4.5 assists per game in six contests (33.8 minutes per), and Russell has helped Los Angeles establish a very nice offensive product (107.6 points per 100) during that time period.

However, the Lakers are still dreadful for the most part, based on a porous defense that is virtually unwatchable. Los Angeles gets a bump in the rankings this week thanks to some help from another Western Conference team regressing to the mean, but on the bright side, the Lakers are finally investing in their future and it is paying dividends on one end of the floor.
.
