Twitter reacts to Martavis Bryant’s one-year suspension

Pittsburgh Steelers wideout Martavis Bryant is facing a year-long ban, and fans weren’t happy about it on Twitter.

On Saturday afternoon, Dejan Kovacevic of DKPittsburghSports.com reported that Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant would be facing a year-long suspension for his second violation of the NFL’s substance abuse policy.

The third-year wideout out of Clemson University does plan to appeal the suspension, but getting the NFL to overturn their decision seems highly unlikely. Here’s how the Twitter-verse responded to the news of Bryant’s possible year-long suspension from the NFL.

The comparisons to former Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon obviously came about with the news of Bryant’s impending suspension.

One person trolled Bryant and Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Brian Quick on who will have more touchdown receptions in 2016. People found that Tweet hilarious.

Another person had three words of advice for Bryant who many need help with his appeal process: Better Caul Saul…

Overall, most of the reactions to Bryant’s suspension were caustic in nature, basically telling him that he’s throwing his life away or that he has to stop smoking.

Bryant seems to have a very interesting fan base to say the least, but just about everybody isn’t happy with his second failed drug test in three years with the Steelers organization. The overall vibe from Twitter on the Bryant suspension is disappointment and don’t do drugs.
