CBI Tournament 2016: Printable Bracket

A look at the field and a printable bracket for the 2016 CBI Tournament

When the casual college basketball fan thinks about March Madness, the thought is almost exclusive to the NCAA Tournament. However, the die-hards will tell you that some of the best basketball in March is played in the other tournaments around the country. That could certainly be the case for the 2016 CBI Tournament.

Comprised solely out of mid-major programs, the CBI Tournament provides a national audience for smaller programs and postseason for these teams as well. The 2016 CBI Tournament will get underway on March 15 and 16 with the first round games, followed by the quarterfinals on March 21. The semifinals will then take place on March 23 before the champion is crowned in a best-of-three series played on March 28 and 30 and on April 1 if necessary.

As far as teams of note that’ll be participating in the 2016 CBI Tournament, the Nevada Wolfpack will be taking the floor, as will the Vermont Catamounts, and the Eastern Washington Eagles, the latter making the NCAA Tournament last season.

Those are the 16 mid-major programs that have been invited and accepted a bid to the 2016 CBI Tournament. Though it may not be the NCAA Tournament, rest assured that the March Madness will still be in full effect.
