High Salary PF

DeMarcus Cousins-Sacramento Kings (10,200): Boogie is back! Cousins sat out Friday after being suspended for conduct detrimental to the team but is expected to return tonight.  He’ll be in a tough matchup against the Jazz stout front line, and he’s a very expensive risk to take tonight.  He could come back fired up or disinterested.  It’s impossible to say how the volatile Cousins will react to suspension.  He did have a good run of production before his suspension including a game of 75 fantasy points against the Pelicans. He’ll be against much tougher competition than that tonight, and I think there are better ways to spend your money tonight although Cousins obviously has the potential to go off and carry the night as well.

Derrick Favors-Utah Jazz (7,100): Favors had an unspectacular week with 36, 26, and 30.25 fantasy points in his three matchups with the Hawks, Warriors, and Wizards.  He should be in a place for a big game tonight, though, as he faces the Kings who have allowed the third-most fantasy points to opposing PF this season and the most in the NBA in their last five. Favors had a monster game against New Orleans a week ago yesterday when he piled up 28 points, 11 rebounds, and six blocks for 60.26 fantasy points. He has that kind of potential again tonight although his recent numbers are less-than-confidence-inspiring.

Thaddeus Young-Brooklyn Nets (6,700): Young is in a good matchup as well against the Bucks who have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing PF this season and the second-most over their last five games.  Young played 40 minutes on Friday against his former team scoring 21 points to go with nine rebounds on his way to 38.75 fantasy points. He has at least 30 fantasy points in three of his last four games and six of his last nine. He’s a good investment for tonight as long as he gets his typical workload in this favorable matchup.

Julius Randle-Los Angeles Lakers (6,500): Randle has at least 26 fantasy points in eight straight games with over 33 fantasy points in three in a row before finishing with 29.75 fantasy points in his most recent game which was Thursday against the Cavs.  Randle had three double-doubles in a row before finishing just one rebound short in that contest.  He should be able to put together a good line tonight against the Knicks front line that has been inconsistent this season and is trying to work around Kristaps Porzingis’s minutes limitations. He’s not a lock, but he’s an option I like a lot in the late game tonight.
