Good Sam 500 weather forecast

The conditions will be more than ideal for the Good Sam 500.

After last weekend’s race in Las Vegas was delayed slightly due to rain and wind, Sunday’s Good Sam 500 race at the Phoenix International Raceway will be much more ideal.

With a high of 70 degrees and a 0% chance of ran, the drivers won’t have to worry about their tires being worn faster than normal due to the track being hot. Cars should also not overheat as temperatures are expected to be within the 60’s when the green flag is waved to begin the Good Same 500.

In addition to no precipitation the wind is not expected to get into the double digits. This bodes well for the drivers after they held onto their steering wheels as tight as possible to keep their car under control as they drove through the high gusts in Las Vegas.

Sunday’s weather conditions will allow the drivers to get aggressive early on. With the track only being one mile long, the drivers won’t be able to hit top speeds as seen at Daytona, Atlanta, or Las Vegas, but Sunday’s race will be filled with many cars being lapped and then causing congestion. This could slow down the leaders even more than normal, but the driver who is smart, while also driving aggressive, will be able to come away with the win at Phoenix.

NASCAR will once again have another great day for Sprint Cup Series racing as they have yet to have a major rain delay this year. Instead, the racing has been filled with interesting moments and the viewers should be ready for another thrilling race on Sunday afternoon.
