NCAA Tournament Bracket 2016: Complete seed list
A look at the seed list for the NCAA Tournament bracket.
On Sunday night, the 2016 version of the NCAA Tournament bracket was unveiled. Some of the choices were predictable but as always, there were a few surprises.
The No. 1 seeds ended up being Kansas, North Carolina, Virginia and Oregon. There has been some controversy over the latter two teams being top seeds heading into the tournament.
The mild shock with the No. 1 seeds was Michigan State not getting one of them. There was some expectation that they would be after winning the Big Ten Tournament on Sunday.
As for snubs, Monmouth was arguably the biggest one. After playing a tough non-conference schedule and actually winning some of the games, it was thought they could make it in as one of the first four in. However, they were left out due to a few bad losses during the season. Teams like Tulsa and Wichita St. took a spot from them.
Where did all of these teams fall in the seeding order, though? Here is a look at it below instead of the typical bracket view.
We will see how these top seeds do in the tournament over the next few weeks. How the ones that barely got in will also be interesting as well with the First Four coming up first on Tuesday.
The filling out of the NCAA bracket will also begin and should make for a fun time of the sports calendar.
