The betting odds are out for the 2016 NCAA Tournament and the teams at the top aren’t much of a surprise
Selection Sunday 2016 has come and gone and the NCAA Tournament bracket has been set. After one of the more amazing college basketball regular seasons in quite some time, it’s finally time to get down to the nitty gritty and find out who the national champion for the 2015-16 season will be.
Of course, even before the bracket was released, people had their favorites to win the national title, no matter how insane the regular season may have been. Well, now that we know the bracket, the folks in Las Vegas have their favorites as well.
From the folks at Bovada, here is a look at the betting odds to open the 2016 NCAA Tournament.

No surprise really that Kansas is right at the top. As the season was coming to a close, they were really the one team that everyone pointed to as possibly being “elite,” even though we were all pretty sure that this type of team didn’t exist this season. But in reality, down the stretch run there were few teams playing better than the Jayhawks, so it’s easy to see them coming away with the title.
Michigan State right behind Kansas shouldn’t really make you scratch your head at all whatsoever because — well, this is March, after all, the month of Tom Izzo and he was quite the talented squad as well.
But as stated earlier, the regular season was so out of this world that if you wanted to take a chance on a long shot, this might be the year to place your money on one of the teams in the middle of that list.
