After missing the NCAA Tournament this year, some UCLA fans want coach Steve Alford gone
For a school with such a rich tradition of appearing in Final Fours and winning national championships, it hasn’t really been that way of late. The UCLA men’s basketball team has not won a championship since 1995 and they haven’t been to the final four since 2007-2008 when they had Russell Westbrook and Kevin Love as their star players.
After two Sweet 16 appearances in the last two NCAA tournaments under coach Steve Alford, this year was a bit of a train wreck. UCLA finished just 15-17 this season and last in the PAC-12 with a 6-12 record on the year.
Now, UCLA fans are taking to the air to voice their displeasure with this season. Literally.

UCLA should be better next year. Per ESPN, they have the fourth ranked recruiting class coming in behind Duke, Kentucky and Michigan State.
The Bruins landed two of the top-10 recruits in the No. 1 point guard in the country, Lonzo Ball. They added the third best power forward in T.J. Leaf and rim protection in Ike Anigbogu. Ball was just awarded the Naismith Player of the Year.
UCLA only had one senior and three juniors this year, so with such a young team, there are going to be some growing pains (Unless you are Kentucky, I guess).
Maybe after next season, if the recruits work out, they’ll be flying keep Alford signs instead.
