Following the live results from WWE RAW on March 14, 2016 from Pittsburgh

There are only three episodes of WWE RAW left until WrestleMania 32, meaning that business is about to pick up in a major way in the pro wrestling world. Starting with the March 14 episode of WWE RAW from the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, PA, WWE RAW is now can’t miss television considering that anything can happen this time of year.

WWE is just a couple of days removed from Roadblock where Dean Ambrose challenged Triple H for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Though Ambrose was unsuccessful, he almost had the title won as he had the champ down for the three-count, but the ref ruled that his foot was under the ropes. With potential controversy brewing, there could be new developments on WWE RAW.

Moreover, The New Day will defend their tag team titles in Pittsburgh on WWE RAW as the two other members of the League of Nations that they didn’t face at Roadblock now challenge for the belts. We’ll see if this is a feud they are building towards Mania or if more challengers are forthcoming.

Also in regards to building for Mania, the feud between AJ Styles and Chris Jericho has seemingly reached critical mass after Y2J’s actions last week on RAW, which could mean huge things are on the horizon for those two veterans of the business. Similarly, Sami Zayn’s re-debut on the main roster on WWE RAW last week could be building towards a WrestleMania match between he and Kevin Owens.

Considering that Zayn debuted last week and that Shane McMahon was also on WWE RAW from Chicago, you also never know what surprises the company has in store from here on out, so you’ll definitely want to keep up with the action.

With that in mind, don’t miss anything and keep up with the results and highlights from the March 14 episode of WWE RAW below once the show starts at 8 p.m. ET. Moreover, participate in the discussion in the comments and be sure to stay in tune with all of the latest WWE Rumors on the FanSided hub.

BootyO’s

New Day came out quickly after WWE RAW went on the air and began talking about their victory at Roadblock and, of course, to push BootyO’s once again.

I still can’t believe someone actually said yes to this idea, but I’m thankful they did.

WWE Tag Team Championship Match: New Day (c) vs. League of Nations

In a match that came about via Twitter when Rusev and Alberto Del Rio were undressing the tag champs on social media, it was New Day (with Big E and Xavier Woods wrestling to mix things up) getting the upper hand early, but it was short-lived as the Del Rio started to make things happen for LON with Rusev getting in on the fun.

Though League of Nations remained in control for quite a bit, New Day fought back and Big E got rolling like a house of fire.

However, Del Rio ultimately slowed Big E down with a big Double-Foot Stomp on the apron, but that didn’t stop Xavier Woods from coming in shortly after and rolling Rusev up for the three-count and the win.

After the match, though, League of Nations meticulously tore the New Day apart with an array of finishers as they went from one member to the next to beat them down, essentially turning the New Day face in the process.

Winners: The New Day (League of Nations beat them down after)

Intense Staredowns Between Beast and Lunatic

Dean Ambrose came out next to deliver a promo abut what he showed everyone at Roadblock, even if he lost in his title match against Triple H.

When Ambrose then began to talk about WrestleMania 32, Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman interrupted him. Dean was ready, though, and was looking for a fight with the Beast Incarnate, but The Advocate wouldn’t let his client go to the ring and instead just hyped their match at Mania.

Heyman then turned to leave, but Brock couldn’t stand it and made his way to the ring. When he did, though, Ambrose unzipped his jacket to reveal a crowbar. Lesnar then just circled the ring, made a quick attempt to jump into the squared circle, but wisely took off after Dean swung at him with the weapon.

That’s how the segment went off, leaving the door open for things to get brutal leading up to these two facing off at WrestleMania.

Ryback vs. Sin Cara (w/ Kalisto)

In a match that was largely just to further the pseudo-feud between Kalisto and Ryback, The Big Guy withstood Sin Cara’s fast-paced offense with his power.

Ryback then caught the high-flyer for Shell Shocked, looked at Kalisto, and then hit Sin Cara with his finisher yet again.

Winner: Ryback

After the match, while Kalisto entered the ring to check on his tag partner, Ryback grabbed a microphone and said that destruction was the result of The Big Guy meeting a little guy. He then challenged Kalisto to a match for the United States Championship at WrestleMania 32.

The Authority is Here

Stephanie McMahon came out to welcome everyone to WWE RAW briefly before introducing her husband, Triple H, fresh off his victory over Dean Ambrose at Roadblock.

Triple H didn’t waste any time bragging about the win over Ambrose, but then took aim at the fans for supporting guys like Dean and Roman. He said that those guys gave fans hope because they live vicariously through them as they stand up to The Authority—but they ultimately fail.

This was a bit too much for at least one man to handle: Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler came out and delivered an impassioned promo about knowing his place and that his place was in the ring fighting for the fans. Moreover, he talked about being screwed and threatened by The Authority and how all that meant was that he realized he has nothing to lose at this point. Stephanie seemed about to fire Dolph, but Triple H came in as the voice of “reason” and tried to get Ziggler to side with The Authority. Ziggler said “Hell no” essentially and got slapped by Stephanie for his trouble.

Steph was then fired up and said that she’d give Dolph any match that he wanted at WrestleMania (save for the WWE title match if he could win one match on WWE RAW, a match against Triple H.

Sami Zayn vs. The Miz

With Kevin Owens at ringside, newcomer Sami Zayn got set to do battle with The Miz. Sami got in some of his unique offense early, including his fantastic fake dive to the outside to play some mind games and some wicked counters:

When the action went to the outside, Owens got up from his chair and looked to attack Zayn, but Miz got retribution for KO bailing on him at SmackDown last week and hit him in the back. Once in the ring again, though, The Miz was distracted and got hit with the Helluva Kick to give Sami the victory.

Winner: Sami Zayn

After this match, they went backstage to talk to League of Nations, who boasted about their beatdown of New Day. They then challenged New Day to a match for the tag titles at Mania.

Brie Bella & Alicia Fox vs. Naomi & Tamina

Before the match ever started, Lana came out to again torment Brie and, it ultimately cause Brie and Alicia Fox the match as the Ravishing Russian distracted the ref and allowed for a double-team attack.

That allowed Naomi and Tamina to pick up the win. After the match, Foxy tried to go after Lana, but instead ate a double Superkick from Naomi and Tamina.

Winners: Naomi and Tamina

Three backstage segments in a row then followed, starting with a stupid Burger King promo by the Social Outcasts. Then came Paige confronting Lana backstage for not being a “real Diva” before Naomi and Tamina showed up to back up Lana.

Lastly, we got an interview with Divas Champion Charlotte where she just ran down Becky and Sasha verbally, playing the heel well.

The Usos vs. Social Outcasts

Shocker of the year here, but the Social Outcasts were jobbing in this match as The Usos beat them quickly, pinning them while staring down The Dudley Boyz.

Winners: The Usos

Next up was Dean Ambrose backstage pontificating on his confrontation with Brock Lesnar when Mick Foley arrived to try and talk him out of the match. However, Ambrose insisted that the same reason he wanted to go toe-to-toe with Brock was the same reason Foley did half of the things that he did. Foley then smiled and said that Ambrose was going to have to go deep into his past and the dark recesses of his mind to beat Lesnar before giving him a gift: a crowbar wrapped in barbed wire.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Triple H

The match with the stipulation that a Ziggler win would allow him to choose any match at Mania other than a WWE World title match got underway in a bit of surprising fashion. Dolph got the advantage early on, but Triple H took the fight to the floor and started going to work on Ziggler.

After that, Hunter continued to methodically beat Dolph down with everything he had, particularly attacking the shoulder of Ziggler.

However, The Show Off will never be held down for too long, starting with hitting Triple H with a counter and then building up momentum to where he earned three near-falls on a bridging pin, a Fame-Asser, and then a wicked DDT. Triple H ultimately saved himself almost off instinct, though, as he caught a flying Dolph and hit him with a huge Spinebuster counter.

But Ziggler played a bit of possum as Hunter went for the Pedigree and Dolph countered that into a huge Superkick for another near-fall. What followed was a series of counters between the two that ultimately resulted in disappointment for the fans as Triple H landed the Pedigree to get the win.

Winner: Triple H

After the win, though, Roman Reigns made his return and started beating down the WWE World champ in a major way.

The fight went all the way to the backstage area and Triple H was busted open before Roman attacked him with a trash can (plastic and full of paper, for what it’s worth) and then a flat screen TV (at least break it well, Roman). The crowd went mild.

The Golden Truth Still Aren’t a Thing

After months of Goldust trying to get R-Truth to be his tag team partner, Truth dressed up as a penguin and tried to finally agree to be Goldust’s partner—only the golden one was the one who declined this time. Where is this going?

Chris Jericho vs. Neville

Jericho was out first to run down AJ Styles after attacking him last week, saying that he still can’t believe the fans chose Styles over him and that he’s better than AJ. Then Nevill came out for their match. Neville got some early offense in and seemed to gain some momentum.

After that Hurricanrana, though, Neville came up lame in a bad way and Jericho recognized this and got himself disqualified to give his opponent the win, but still get himself heat.

Winner: Neville

After the DQ, though, Y2J then got back on the microphone and began to run down the fans for supporting Styles. This ultimately called out AJ who ran down to the ring and took out Jericho with a Phenomenal forearm, standing tall to end the segment.

Father, Son, and a Deadman

Vince McMahon came out first to say that Shane McMahon winning and gaining control of WWE RAW was just a pipe-dream before he called out The Undertaker, who came out and looked intimidating, even standing next to The Chairman and as the Chairman tried to admonish him.

However, Shane O Mac could only take so much before coming out and spelling out how he’s beat Taker, but The Phenom said even that wouldn’t be enough. To that, Shane said he was surprised that Taker was acting like Vince’s puppet and even went as far to call Undertaker Vince’s “b****.” That obviously didn’t work out well for Shane as he wound up taking a Chokeslam, with a little push from his father into Taker’s hands after Shane tried to fight back.

However, Taker turned his sights on Vince after pondering what Shane O Mac said and ultimately the Chairman went running before the Deadman could get his hands on him.

The show went off the air with Taker standing tall and, for the first time in this feud, with who he might be fighting for at Mania in question.
