Roman Reigns might be making his return to television on the March 14 episode of WWE RAW in Pittsburgh
Now that there are only three episodes of WWE RAW remaining until WrestleMania 32, the company is pulling out all of the tricks that they have left in their bag for the March 14 episode of RAW from Pittsburgh. Not only are Shane McMahon, Brock Lesnar, and other huge names scheduled to appear, but Mick Foley is also booked to show up and Daniel Bryan could be making a surprise appearance as well. In addition, there are rumblings that Roman Reigns will be making his return to TV on Monday Night RAW.
After reports early on Monday that Roman Reigns had been spotted in Pittsburgh ahead of RAW, PWInsider is now reporting that the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion and competitor in the main event of WrestleMania 32 will in fact be making his return on RAW on March 14.
In storyline, Reigns was viciously beaten down by current champion Triple H at the end of RAW in late February and has been out injured after having surgery on his nose. He actually had the surgery, though the real reason was a pre-existing injury rather than the beatdown from Triple H.
How WWE handles the return of Roman Reigns is going to be incredibly intriguing given how little time they have until Mania and how much work they have to do to build the main event. Despite the fact that the challenger is supposed to be the face in the main event of WrestleMania 32 against Triple H, it was the champ who was being cheered when he destroyed Roman several weeks ago. That’s not a good sign and is indicative of just how much work WWE has to do in three weeks.
We’ll see if WWE pulls some sort of rabbit out of their hat on Monday Night RAW in regards to Roman Reigns returning and how they handle that in the context of his feud. For the sake of the fans happiness and for Mania, though, let’s hope that they don’t just stick with the status quo.
