These 10 MLB rookies are projected to make final Opening Day rosters and have a chance to make an impact immediately.

Hope springs eternal for all 30 teams across MLB, as Opening Day is less than three weeks away.

Many fans are preparing to watch their respective teams chase a pennant all summer long. For others, the promise of getting to watch some young talent reach the big leagues is exciting enough.

That young talent did not disappoint last season, as 2015 offered one of the best rookie classes in recent memory. Prospects like Kris Bryant of the Chicago Cubs and Carlos Correa of the Houston Astros were not only resoundingly successful in their major league debuts, but helped their clubs reach the postseason.

While this rookie class may not be quite as strong as last year’s, it still features a number of players who could develop into franchise cornerstones. Rebuilding teams like the Atlanta Braves and contenders like the Los Angeles Dodgers alike are expected to feature plenty of young talent at the MLB level in 2016.

As good as the young talent this year could be, very few rookies are expected to get a chance to contribute right away on Opening Day rosters. We should see quite a few call-ups after the Super Two deadline such as Houston’s A.J. Reed, while top prospects like Joey Gallo and Jose Berrios should be on the way to the Majors sometime during the summer.

Still, a few rookies will get the chance to prove themselves right away with the opportunity to be on an initial 25-man roster. With the Dodgers’ Corey Seager and Byron Buxton of the Minnesota Twins leading the way, look out for these 10 rookies on Opening Day.
