Elaborate pregame handshakes are a common occurrence throughout the NBA. And as a way to build chemistry and camaraderie and help players get amped up one final time before taking the court for the night, they work. The one thing that fans need to remember though is that they won’t always understand how or what a duo is doing as many times the handshakes turn into something akin to an inside joke, which certainly explains what Jeremy Lamb and Jeremy Lin did in Charlotte on Wednesday night.

At first it looks like Lamb may be hitting an invisible speed bag, but Lin’s seemingly open palms make things much more confusing. The whip dance move at the end seems to be becoming Lamb’s thing though, as he busted out the move to celebrate a Hornets basket in February.
The best part of the entire clip, though is rookie Frank Kaminsky, who simply daps up Lamb after the handshake ends despite Lamb seemingly wanting more than a simple fist bump. Kaminsky clearly has no time for that as he just continues on his way to the bench, leaving Lamb looking a bit confused.
