No. 16 Austin Peay Governors vs No. 1 Kansas Jayhawks
Even a couple of weeks ago, no one saw Austin Peay earning the Ohio Valley’s automatic bid with the conference tournament title. The Governors went from 12-17 and dead in the water to 18-17 and headed to play the NCAA Tournament’s No. 1 overall seed. Could Austin Peay become the first No. 16 seed to ever upset a No. 1?

The Governors wouldn’t have been able to make the tourney and finish the year on a six-game win streak without Chris Horton and Josh Robinson. The former finished the year leading the team with 18.9 points, 12.0 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game. Robinson has been putting up 16.7 points and 3.2 rebounds per contest.
Steadier than any team heading into March Madness, Kansas won 14 straight games to earn the tournament’s No. 1 overall seed. The Jayhawks are probably the team to beat this March and there’s no denying how good they can really be. Beating the cream of the crop in the Big 12 while winning the regular season and conference tourney titles, Kansas will be tough.
Kansas is led by veteran presence Perry Ellis who has been to the tourney in every season of his seemingly endless career. He’s averaging 16.7 points and 5.9 rebounds per game and don’t let him get open from three-point range because he’s knocking down 43 percent of his shots from distance. Wayne Selden, Frank Mason III and Devonte’ Graham are all names to watch.
