No. 12 Chattanooga Mocs vs No. 5 Indiana Hoosiers
If you’re looking for a contest that could be an early upset special, look no further than the No. 12 vs. No. 5 matchup of Chattanooga and Indiana. The Mocs are one of the lengthiest teams in the tourney and the Hoosiers should definitely beware of this 29-5 squad that ran away with the Southern Conference regular season and tournament titles.

The Mocs don’t really have a go-to scorer, but not all Cinderellas do. Casey Jones, Tre McLean and Tuoyo all average over 10 points per game for Chattanooga, but the latter two are the only ones healthy. Jones has missed 24 games this season with an ankle injury and the team has been forced to find other contributors. Will that affect them negatively here?
Want to talk about a team that was robbed of a higher seed by the NCAA selection committee? The Indiana Hoosiers finished the year 25-7 and won the Big Ten regular season title by two full games and were still granted a No. 5 seed. That doesn’t make much sense. Tom Crean and the Hoosiers won’t sneak up on anyone, though, as opponents know how good they really are.
Runner-up for the Big Ten Player of the Year award was senior point guard Yogi Ferrell who would make a great pro player if he was a little bit taller. However, others have done it, so why not him? Ferrell is averaging 17.0 points, 5.5 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game while also shooting 42 percent from long range. This team goes as he goes.
