Sometimes the NBA slows down a little bit on Thursday with TNT featuring a few “spotlight” games and much of the league getting the night off. That’s not the case tonight, however, since TNT has the NCAA tournament leaving the NBA to put together a solid eight-games slate which is just about the perfect number for DFS fantasy basketball. Spoiler Alert-we get eight more games on a nice slate tomorrow night as well.  While you may or may not have much of a bracket left, you can build your fantasy basketball team for tonight with the help of my  FanDuel daily which are picks designed to highlight the best matchups of the day.

More from Brooklyn Nets

Rosters will lock on FanDuel tonight at their typical 7:00 PM ET. There are two Eastern Conference games tipping at 7:00 as the Pacers host the Raptors and the Sixers welcome in Washington.  At 7:30, another good Eastern Conference games starts in South Beach as the current-number-six-seed Hornets face the current-number-four-seed Heat. At 8:00, the main wave of games start with three tip-offs including the Nuggets@Hawks, the Grizzlies@Bucks, and the Nets@Bulls.  30 minutes later, the Spurs look to continue their winning ways at home as they take on the Blazers.  The final game of the night takes place in Utah where the Suns visit the Jazz in a matchup that will feature two of the biggest starting lineups used regularly in the NBA.

There are a lots of options as  you build your FanDuel team tonight, but there are a few key matchups to attack and to avoid at each position.  To see the players I think are ready to help you get a win tonight, check out my FanDuel daily picks on the following slides. My goal is to give you the information you need to build your own lineup that can bring home a win for your team tonight. In order to help you find the position and price-point that you need, you’ll find two slides per position in this post–one with high-salary options and one with high-value options. Each slide contains at least two options with extras thrown in where possible.  I base each pick on the current form of each player and the positional matchups each player will face in tonight’s game.

At the beginning of 2016, I  started to rank my picks using stars after each selection to show the strength of the pick. For a full explanation of the rating system, check out the last slide of this post, but in short, more stars means more confidence (on a point-per-dollar basis). On the final slide of the post, you can see my recent results at each level of confidence. Also on the final slide of the post, you can see how I’m putting together the best of my picks into my lineup for tonight’s competition. I suggest you build your own customized team with the players you like the most, but you’re welcome to see my lineups and use them as a place to get started.

In this post, all salary references and references to “fantasy points” refer to FanDuel pricing and scoring.  If you are looking for similar coverage specifically for DraftKings, check the box above for related posts or find the latest on our fantasy basketball hub.
