Purdue’s Vince Edwards drills three at the buzzer against Arkansas-Little Rock (Video)

Purdue Boilermakers forward Vince Edwards drilled a three at the end of the first half against Arkansas-Little Rock.

The first round of the NCAA Tournament commenced on Thursday, and there were some competitive games that got March Madness started off on the right foot. On a day that saw upsets and plenty of great battles, there was a great battle between the No. 12 Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans and the No. 5 Purdue Boilermakers.

In the first half of the game, the Trojans came out and took it to the Boilermakers and were neck and neck with them for the entirety of the first half. With the two teams seemingly going to be tied heading into the locker room at the half, Purdue forward Vince Edwards took it upon himself to go the length of the court in 4.2 seconds and drill a three at the buzzer to give his team the momentum at the half.

Even more impressive about the play, was the fact that Edwards was the inbound man and had to then wait on a pass for a teammate. It was a great play that is even more incredible considering their wasn’t much time left on the clock to begin with.

Add in the fact that Arkansas-Little Rock failed to put any pressure on Edwards, and it gave him all the time that he needed to make the shot.
