Steph Curry has the same pre-game routine every night. It’s become famous at this point between dribbling two basketballs, the tunnel shot, and his tweet to “Lock in! #DubNation” Except tonight there was something different about Curry’s tweet.
Lock in! #DubNation #33forever @LHS_Tigers

Number 33 was the number of Mackenzie Forrest. A star at Lakewood High School, and a huge Curry fan. She tragically passed away in a car accident, and the students of Lakewood rounded up a campaign to ask Curry for just a shout out. That way they could send her off in celebration instead of tragedy.
Curry delivered, and the students of Lakewood couldn’t have been happier.
@StephenCurry30 thank you so much Mr. Curry. This means the world. I'm sure Lil Mac is freaking out in heaven. 💙💛💙💛💙

Curry wasn’t the only one to give a shoutout to Forrest in memory of her. The entire Denver Nuggets team and staff remembered Forrest in a video to her that they posted on Twitter.
To the Forrest family and the entire @LHS_Tigers community: we are with you. #33Forever https://t.co/OnlBdnUBhY

Forrest was highly praised by her coaches, and as a player had been skilled enough to play in a local All-Star tournament.
“She was the youngest on the team, everyone else was either juniors or seniors. She was the baby,” her coach there, Terri Ward, told the Post. “She just had that infectious smile, and she could shoot the darn ball. That is for sure.”
