Stony Brook vs Kentucky live stream: Watch NCAA Tournament First Round online

No. 13 Stony Brook Seawolves vs No. 4 Kentucky Wildcats

Outside of two losses in the final six games of the season, the Stony Brook Seawolves were nearly perfect in American East play. Stony Brook isn’t a name you hear often when talking about college basketball. In fact, this is the first NCAA Tournament appearance in school history for the Seawolves, and they’ll try to make it memorable.

Putting together a 26-6 record isn’t easy, but the Seawolves didn’t exactly face the stiffest of competition. Stony Brook’s leading scorer on the year is big man Jameel Warney who averages 19.8 points, 10.7 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per contest. Keep an eye on Carson Puriefoy as well — he’s averaging 15.1 points and makes over 40 percent of his threes.

Earning a No. 4 seed in this year’s NCAA Tournament had to be absolutely maddening for Kentucky head coach John Calipari after putting together an elite recruiting class again and winning the SEC Tournament title. Heck, Kentucky tied for first in the regular season with Texas A&M as well, but somehow the Aggies were a No. 3 seed to Kentucky’s No. 4.

This team is absolutely loaded with talent from top to bottom. Jamal Murray is one of the most underrated true freshmen in college basketball, averaging a team-high 20.1 points and 5.1 rebounds and making 42 percent of his three-pointers. Don’t sleep on Tyler Ulis, either. The crafty point guard averages 17.2 points and 7.2 assists per game.
