After No. 12 Yale knocked off No. 5 Baylor, Twitter blew up over the first upset of March Madness in 2016.
Every single year in college basketball, there is always a No. 12 seed that upsets a No. 5 seed. On Thursday, The No. 12 Yale Bulldogs kept the March Madness tradition going, as they knocked off the No. 5 Baylor Bears in a huge upset in Providence.
The Ivy League school wasted no time jumping all over the Bears early and it was just an ugly day all around for Baylor, as players began fighting with each on the court and frustration set in that their stay in the tournament was about to come to an end a lot earlier than they were anticipating.
With the esteemed university picking up the huge win over a team that was favorites to beat them, social media was abuzz over the Bulldogs’ performance and as usual during huge upsets in sports, Twitter absolutely blew up over Yale’s big win.
LETS GO YALE WOOOO

I honestly didn't think Yale would win or that Baylor would lose shockers two years in a row. I know nothing, Jon Shining Snow-ment.

March madness is rigged so our brackets won't win. Anybody who guessed this is a Yale fan... Or an idiot.

It’s safe to say that Yale is now one of the underdog teams that everyone is getting behind to go far in the NCAA Tournament. It won’t be easy for them however, as they will now have to face the defending champion Duke Blue Devils.
If Yale can somehow pull off the upset again and knock off Duke, then it’s very likely that Twitter will be blowing up even more over the Bulldogs.
