Cincinnati vs St. Joseph’s
On Friday, one of the No. 8 vs No. 9 seed matchups will take place with the Cincinnati Bearcats battling the St. Joseph’s Hawks. The winner will play whoever comes out of the No. 1 Oregon vs No. 16 Holy cross game on Sunday in the NCAA Tournament. No. 8 vs. No. 9 seed games are always a toss-up, so it may be tough to choose a winner for this contest.

Cincinnati is coming off a third-place finish in the American Athletic Conference and lost to UConn in a four-overtime thriller during the conference tournament.
The Bearcats are led by four double-digit scorers with junior guard Troy Caupain leading the way. He puts up over 13 PPG and recently had 37 points against UConn on Mar. 11. Performances like that will be needed in the NCAA Tournament.
St. Joseph’s is coming off a big Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament win after finishing fourth in the regular season. They defeated VCU to earn the automatic bid in the Big Dance.
The Hawks are led by two top scorers in Isaiah Miles and DeAndre Bembry. They put up over 17 PPG a piece and shoot over 48-percent. These two forwards control the paint and could be big factors against Cincinnati.
