No. 11 Michigan Wolverines vs No. 6 Notre Dame Fighting Irish
If you’re looking for a team playing with nothing to lose and having fun leading up to a first round game this weekend, look no further than the Michigan Wolverines. Beating Tulsa in one of the First Four games, the Wolverines could catch fire at the right time and even make some noise in the tournament.

Hot shooting will keep Michigan in a lot of games, but the Wolverines seem to live and die by the three. Derrick Walton Jr. has been the leader of the team in Caris LeVert’s absence. He’s second on the team with 11.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.3 assists per contest. Keep an eye on Duncan Robinson and Zak Irvin as well — both can light it up from long range.
Notre Dame began ACC play with a 5-2 record, but hit a rough patch and finished the conference season with a 6-5 mark. The Fighting Irish can be a dangerous team in the East Region even though they might be a little over-seeded at a No. 6 seed. Will the Fighting Irish be able to hold on and avoid an early March Madness upset?
Demetrius Jackson is one of the top point guards in the ACC and he can end up causing a lot of problems for the Wolverines. Jackson leads the Irish with 15.5 points and 4.8 assists per game. Zach Auguste is another name to watch for as the big man is a beast in the post, putting up 14.4 points and 10.8 rebounds while shooting 55 percent from the field.
