Middle Tennessee guard Perrin Buford predicted upsets of Michigan State, Purdue

Middle Tennessee’s Perrin Buford called Arkansas-Little Rock upsetting Purdue and his Blue Raiders stunning Michigan State

The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders weren’t given a chance by virtually anyone going into March Madness as they were handed a No. 15 seed and a matchup against the Michigan State Spartans in the First Round—a team many had pegged as a title contender. Someone should’ve told the Blue Raiders that they didn’t have a chance, especially senior guard Perrin Buford, who called his Middle Tennessee team knocking off Sparty after already predicting the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans’ upset of the Purdue Boilermakers.

On Thursday night before Middle Tennessee took on Michigan State, Buford took to Twitter to say that he called Arkansas-Little Rock, was calling the Chattanooga Mocs over the Indiana Hoosiers (whoops!), and also clearly had his Blue Raiders pulling the upset:

Not to infer too much here, but either Buford is mildly psychic, really smart, or really thought that the Big Ten was absolute trash this season as he predicted three major Big Ten schools to get ousted in First Round upsets.

Either way, having that tweet to look back on after such a huge upset that they pulled on Friday afternoon is pretty incredible for the Middle Tennessee senior and his teammates. Now we’ll see if Buford has the Blue Raiders going any farther in March Madness—and if he does, if he’ll be correct once again as they face Syracuse.
