A look at the live scoring results from the NCAA Tournament First Round game between CSU Bakersfield and Oklahoma.
The second West game in the NCAA Tournament on Friday will feature the CSU Bakersfield Roadrunners and the Oklahoma Sooners. The winner of this game will face the winner of No. 7 Oregon State vs. No. 10 VCU on Sunday.
CSU Bakersfield is coming off a 24-8 season with a second-place finish in the Western Athletic Conference. They are coming off wins against Chicago State, Seattle and New Mexico state in their conference tournament which earned them a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
The Roadrunners are led by a balanced scoring attack of five players averaging 10 PPG or more. They include Aly Ahmed, Kevin Mays, Dedrick Basile, Damiyne Durham and Jaylin Airington. It’s possible one or more of these players will really need to step up if they want to take down this powerhouse Big 12 team.
Oklahoma is coming off a 25-7 season that saw them ranked No. 1 during the regular season on multiple occasions. They lost to West Virginia during the Big 12 Tournament and earned an at-large bid as the No. 2 seed of the West region.
The Sooners are led by one of the nation’s best in guard Buddy Hield. He put up 25 PPG during the regular season and is a finalist for multiple awards. The future NBA draft pick will need to dominate in this contest after putting up only 6 points in the game against WVU on Mar. 11.
With that said, here is a look at the scoring results from this game.
