A look at the live scoring results from the NCAA Tournament First Round game between Green Bay and Texas A&M.
The third West game in the NCAA Tournament on Friday will feature the Green Bay Phoenix and the Texas A&M Aggies. The winner of this game will face the winner of No. 6 Texas vs. No. 11 Northern Iowa on Sunday.
Green Bay is coming off a 23-12 season with a fourth place finish in the Horizon League. They rattled off wins against Cleveland State, Milwaukee, Valparaiso, and Wright State in their conference tournament to earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
The Phoenix are led by senior guard Carrington Love. He is the team’s most heavily used player, averaging 32.5 minutes per game. Love played in at least 38 minutes in the past five games.
Texas A&M is coming off a 26-8 season with a first place finish in the SEC. They lost the conference tournament finals against the Kentucky Wildcats and earned an at-large bid because of it.
The Aggies are led by senior guards Danuel House and Jalen Jones. They combined for over 30 PPG of the team’s 76 PPG during the regular season. House is coming off a huge game against Kentucky, as he put up 32 points on 10 for 23 shooting. He will need to put up solid numbers if Texas A&M wants to make a run in the NCAA Tournament.
