NCAA Tournament 2016: South Dakota State vs Maryland live scoring tracker

A look at the live scoring results from the NCAA Tournament First Round game between South Dakota State and Maryland.

The third South game in the NCAA Tournament on Friday will feature the South Dakota State Jackrabbits and the Maryland Terrapins. The winner of this game will face the winner of No. 4 California vs. No. 13 Hawaii on Sunday.

South Dakota State is coming off a 26-7 season with a first place finish in the Summit League. They swept their way through the conference tournament and earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament. This was done by defeating Oral Roberts, Denver and North Dakota State.

The Jackrabbits are led by leading scorers Mike Daum, George Marshall and Deondre Parks. All three average over 14.7 PPG and shoot over 40-percent. A high amount of production from each will be needed to take down the No. 5 seed.

Maryland is coming off a 25-8 record with a third-place finish in the Big Ten Conference. They lost to Michigan State in the second round of their conference tournament and earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.

The Terrapins are led by sophomore guard Melo Trimble. He is coming off a poor 2 for 15 shooting performance against the Spartans and will obviously need to turn that number around.

With that said, here is a look at the scoring results from this game.
