Russell Westbrook gets hit in face, still throws down huge dunk (Video)

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook got whacked in the face and still threw down a huge dunk on the 76ers.

Russell Westbrook is one of the most explosive athletes to ever pick up a basketball. Therefore when he gets a full head of steam and is driving the lane for a huge dunk, stopping him is no easy task and sometimes, even if you think you’ve got him stopped, he just dunks on you anyways.

Against the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night, Westbrook pulled off one of his most incredible feats yet, as he went up for a dunk, got hit in the face and still managed to put down an impressive slam that brought the crowd to their feet.

As Westbrook went up for a dunk, 76ers forward Jerami Grant went up to block him and missed completely, instead nailing Westbrook right in the face. Impressively, Westbrook would still finish the slam.

After the dunk, Westbrook was visibly upset with getting hit in the face and used some expletive language to describe his feelings getting hit right in the face. It’s hard not to blame him for being upset as no one likes to get hit, but it’s pretty cool that he was able to put down a highlight reel slam anyways.

Stopping Westbrook is hard enough and not even hitting him the face can bring him down.
