Updated 2016 March Madness Bracket after Thursday’s First Round

A look at the 2016 March Madness bracket after the 16 First Round games on Thursday

March Madness finally kicked into high gear on Thursday afternoon with the start of the First Round of the 2016 NCAA Tournament. There were upsets, fantastic plays, ridiculous performance, and everything that college basketball fans could ever want from March Madness.

There are certainly brackets that have already been busted as teams like the No. 12 Yale Bulldogs knocked off the No. 5 Baylor Bears early on in the day. The same happened again later when the No. 12 Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans took down the No. 5 Purdue Boilermakers in thrilling double-overtime fashion.

However, there were close calls as well as the No. 16 seed Florida Gulf Coast Eagles kept pace with the No. 1 seed North Carolina Tar Heels for one half and the No. 13 UNC Wilmington Seahawks gave another ACC team a scare as they played the No. 4 seed Duke Blue Devils much tougher than many teams might have expected.

After all of the fast and furious action in March Madness on Thursday in the First Round games, let’s take a look at the updated 2016 March Madness to see how things have played out to this point.
