A look at the updated March Madness bracket after Middle Tennessee shocked Michigan State

On Thursday in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament and March Madness we saw a few 12-5 upsets, and we even saw a 13-4 on Friday with Hawaii taking out Cal. Now in some cases, there were some people who actually predicted those happening, which is pretty understandable.

But did anyone see Middle Tennessee, a 15-seed, defeating the mighty Michigan State Spartans, a 2-seed and one of the best teams in the country all year? No, probably not, but here’s the thing — it happened.

On Friday in the Midwest Region, the Blue Raiders came out firing on all cylinders and they never took the foot off the gas pedal from there. They were determined to make some history on Friday and they did just that. They went in and took care of the Spartans, something that really no one saw coming.

With the major, major upset on Friday, here is a look at the updated March Madness bracket.

Middle Tennessee can celebrate for the next day, but they still have business to take care of on Sunday when they have to face the winner of the earlier game in the region, Syracuse.

But for right now, Middle Tennessee should be saluted for the effort they gave on Friday which led to one of the biggest upsets in history.
