James Harden should get an Oscar after over exaggerating contact to draw a foul.

Houston Rockets guard James Harden is known to do whatever it takes to draw fouls. He took his game to the next level against the Atlanta Hawks as he overdramatized being bumped by guard Kent Bazemore to get a foul.

Harden might be getting an Oscar for this performance.

Harden has a reputation for being a flopper, but this is ridiculous even for him. Bazemore barely made contact with him, if at all. Yet Harden reacted as if he had just stepped on a fresh patch of ice. It wouldn’t be surprising if Harden gets a call from the commissioner about this and supplemental discipline is certainly a possibility.

The Rockets star has had a career year despite the Houston Rockets’ struggles. Entering Saturday’s matchup against the Hawks, Harden has a career-high 28.6 points per game this season while averaging career highs in assists (7.2) and rebounds (6.3). He has a 43.2 percent field goal percentage and has made 86.7 percent of his free throws. While Houston has been struggling mightily this season, it is definitely not Harden’s fault. Harden has averaged 20.8 points per game during his career with 4.8 assists per game and 4.5 rebounds per game.
