The Stephen F Austin University Lumberjacks want Stone Cold Steve Austin to join their bandwagon.

Stephen F Austin University put themselves on the map with an impressive 70-56 first round victory over West Virginia University. It was one of the biggest upsets of the tournament as the Lumberjacks dominated WVU. WVU played physical but thanks to the stellar free throw shooting of guard Thomas Walkup (19 of 20) and their suffocating defense that forced 22 Mountaineer turnovers, they beat WVU.

Tons of fans have adopted the Cinderella team. Their physical brand of basketball and their name are almost impossible to root against. The Lumberjacks have invited the Texas Rattlesnake Stone Cold Steve Austin to join them in Brooklyn when they take on Notre Dame in the Round of 32.

WWE fans took a liking to Stephen F Austin University due to the name similarity with one of the most popular professional wrestlers of all-time. One could say that the Lumberjacks stunned WVU much like Austin literally stunned so many opponents with his Stone Cold Stunner.

While Austin has not responded to their invitation officially, he did RT a tweet that referenced the Texas Rattlesnake and the Lumberjacks. Time will tell if Stone Cold will attend the Lumberjacks’ second round game against sixth ranked Notre Dame in Brooklyn. Twitter might explode if the two Austins meet up.
