A look at five players whose NBA Draft stock is rising after the First Round of March Madness
There are plenty of reasons to watch March Madness if you love basketball. If you love college basketball in general, it’s the best time of year as anything can happen at any moment, which was proven in the First Round of the 2016 NCAA Tournament. If you tend to favor the NBA, though, it’s also to see potential NBA players either shine or falter under the bright lights of March Madness and how that affects their draft stock moving forward.
In many ways, March Madness can be a proving ground for players in a number of ways. For players like Brandon Ingram of the Duke Blue Devils who is projected to be either the first or second pick in the 2016 NBA Draft to put all of his skills on display and prove why he’s deserving of being selected with such a valuable pick.
In the same light, though, the NCAA Tournament also allows players to either move up in the draft or to get on the radar of teams either for the upcoming draft or for future drafts. It’s the best opportunity for players to, in essence, raise their draft stock in a very palpable way.
With that in mind and with the 32 First Round games in the book for 2016 March Madness, these five players raised their draft stock in a major way.
