A look at the updated 2016 March Madness bracket now that the Second Round matchups are set

If you though that Thursday’s slate of First Round games in 2016 March Madness were insane, then you might not have been able to handle the drama that unfolded as Friday’s First Round action may have been the craziest day in the history of the NCAA Tournament and March Madness.

Of course, the night was capped off by one of the greatest buzzer-beaters in March Madness history as Paul Jesperson for the No. 11 seed Northern Iowa Panthers hit a buzzer-beater from halfcourt to give Northern Iowa the upset over the No. 6 seed Texas Longhorns. However, that was far from the biggest or only upset on Friday in March Madness.

The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders became just the eighth No. 15 seed in NCAA Tournament to upset a No. 2 seed, Michigan State in this case, in the First Round as they handed it to one of the title favorites. Also in the land of big upsets, No. 14 seed Stephen F. Austin took down No. 3 seed West Virginia and No. 13 seed Hawaii upset No. 4 Cal.

After an absolutely ridiculous day in March Madness in which every bracket was busted throughout the country, let’s now take a look at an updated bracket now that the Second Round has been set following immense insanity.

The March Madness doesn’t rest, though, as the Second Round will get underway on Saturday with a slate of eight games. If Thursday and Friday were just a teaser of things to come, college hoops fans should be ecstatic.
