Auto Club 400 2016: Official results from Fontana

Here are the official standings from the 2016 Auto Club 400 at Fontana.

The bigger the track, the bigger the wrecks are and that was the case at the 2016 Auto Club 400 at Fontana on Sunday. With a two-mile track and plenty of high-speed racing, there were some major wrecks at the track that took out some good drivers on the day.

While Kyle Larson and Danica Patrick each suffered some hard hits, the likes of Jimmie Johnson and Kevin Harvick were out leading the field and battling each other yet again for the race lead. Austin Dillon started out on the pole on Sunday, but he was quickly overtaken by Harvick.

After winning his first race at Phoenix last week, Harvick carried that momentum with him into California and it didn’t look like there was going to be anyone that was going to put an end to his run at Auto Club Speedway. Other drivers that hadn’t won yet, like Carl Edwards and Joey Logano, tried their best to take Harvick on.

In the end, Harvick was done in by a late caution at the Auto Club 400. In overtime, Jimmie Johnson was just too fast for him and pulled away. Here are the official results from the Auto Club 400.
