Here is the complete starting grid and lineup for the 2016 Auto Club 400 at Auto Club Speedway at Fontana on Sunday.
After four races in the 2016 Sprint Cup Series season, four different drivers have accomplished their goal of securing a spot in the Chase and being able to compete for a Sprint Cup Championship in the fall. On Sunday, the fifth race of the season takes place with yet another chance for someone to earn their own right to compete for a championship, when NASCAR hits Fontana for the 2016 Auto Club 400.
It should be a day of high speeds and qualifying really set the tone for what is to be expected in Sunday’s race. Both Brad Keselowski and Denny Hamlin each set track records during qualifying, but neither one of them qualified for the pole.
It was Austin Dillon, who was fastest when it counted the most in the final round of qualifying, that will be on the pole when the race begins on Sunday. The No. 3 will once again be leading the drivers of NASCAR to the starting line on Sunday, as everyone fights with each for that fifth spot in the Chase.
