ESPN posted a story on Twitter about Fidel Castro and people aren’t too happy about it
There are some times when you’re planning on a story where you should probably take a step back and ask yourself whether or not it’s a good idea. Furthermore, there are times when you plan on tweeting said story out and you should be really careful about the manner in which you present it.
Well, these appear to be some things that ESPN may have recently forgotten.
On Sunday, our Twitter feeds were hit with this story about the one and only President of Cuba, Fidel Castro. ESPN has since deleted the tweet.

With the recent happening in which Major League Baseball will make their way back to Cuba for the first time since 1999 when the Tampa Bay Rays play an exhibition game on Tuesday, you could somewhat see where ESPN would see it a good idea to delve into the sports life of Castro.
But, the way in which they worded that tweet was just not the best PR move by any means. Because of that, they’re eliciting some pretty harsh yet fair responses on the social media platform. And yes, as you’d expect, a lot of folks are using Hitler comparisons.
.@SportsCenter This is a remarkably ignorant tweet. Just wow.

There are a lot more, if you want to take a look through the comment thread, and pretty much all of them are negative. In this case, that’s pretty much deserved.
