Mo Alie-Cox sends Oklahoma running with huge slam (Video)

VCU forward Mo Alie-Cox threw down a huge dunk against Oklahoma that sent Ryan Spangler running

The VCU Rams looked like they were going to get run out of the gym on Sunday evening as they took on the Oklahoma Sooners in Second Round March Madness action for the right to advance to the Sweet 16. In the second half, though, VCU had other plans as they started a furious comeback that eventually left the two teams battling for the lead, going back-and-forth in the final 10 minutes of the game. It was during that comeback when Rams forward Mo Alie-Cox put the fear of God in the Sooners.

With VCU only down five to Oklahoma, Alie-Cox got the ball on a pass right around the free throw line and went right for the rim. He then took off and everyone knew that the explosive forward was about to punish the rim—no one more aware than Oklahoma big man Ryan Spangler who looked to contest it and then just got the hell out of the way once he realized what was about to happen:

You know you threw down a thunderous dunk when you legitimately send the opponent running away. Although, can you really blame Spangler for protecting his livelihood in that situation? That dunk from Mo Alie-Cox surely would have ended him.

His dunk also furthered the VCU comeback and really helped quiet the crowd in Oklahoma cheering for the home team.
