Bronson Koenig hit a three at the buzzer to beat Xavier and advance to the Sweet 16
The Wisconsin Badgers were down by three points with under a minute left in their Second Round March Madness matchup with the No. 2 seed Xavier Musketeers. That’s when veteran guard Bronson Koenig came up huge with a big three from the right wing to tie it up with 11 seconds left in the game. However, that’s when the real insanity started.
After the Koenig three, Xavier obviously had the chance to come through, but were called for an offensive foul to give Wisconsin possession back and a chance to pull off the crazy upset win. They pushed the ball to call a timeout with only two seconds left on the clock. On the inbounds play, they look Bronson Koenig’s way again as he curled to the right corner. The guard put up a fadeaway as he fell out of bounds into his own bench right as he watched the ball fall through the net for the game-winner:

What a freaking shot. That’s going to be one of the best shots and memories that we’re going to take away from 2016 March Madness, only made better by the fact that his previous shot put him in the position to hit the buzzer-beater to win the game.
It doesn’t get any better than a buzzer beater in March Madness and Bronson Koenig delivered the goods to push Wisconsin through.
