High Salary PG

Stephen Curry-Golden State Warriors (10,300): Steph wasn’t in my picks on Saturday as he struggled against the Spurs, but I’m expecting a huge game tonight as he looks to bounce back against the T-Wolves. Minnesota has allowed the sixth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG, so Curry will look to quickly erase the memory of his 4-18 shooting night in San Antonio when he only managed 34 fantasy points. He had been rolling before that game including a near-triple-double in Dallas the night before when he had 65.25 fantasy points.  He’s a spendy option tonight at over 10K, but I do think he’ll deliver a big game if you can squeeze him under your salary cap.

John Wall-Washington Wizards (9,600): As the Wizards push for the playoffs, they’re getting great play from Wall down the stretch.  He had back-t0-back triple doubles last week and then had a nice game against the Knicks on Saturday with 24 points and ten assists although he only had two rebounds.  He has at least 42 fantasy points in four straight games and in seven of his last eight. He had 19 points and 11 assists in his first meeting with Atlanta earlier this season, and I think he’s a solid pick to get another one tonight with at least 40-50 fantasy points.  He has the potential to go off for an even bigger night as well, but he is still a pricey pay at just under 10K.

Isaiah Thomas-Boston Celtics (7,600): Thomas didn’t have a great shooting night last night against the 76ers, but he still totaled 26 points thanks to 10-10 free throw shooting and also added in eight assists and six rebounds for a solid 48 fantasy points. He has had a pair of games with 45+ fantasy points in his last four contests sandwiched around a couple of down games due to blowouts and bad matchups.  Tonight, he’ll take on the Magic as the Celtics return home after snapping their four-game skid. Thomas will need to bring his strong overall game again tonight since Boston is still without Jae Crowder, so I expect a solid game against Orlando from IT4 who is a little under-priced given his potential to go off, but also given his lack of risk to put up a total dud since he rarely produces less than 30 fantasy points.

Brandon Knight-Phoenix Suns (7,100): Knight seems to be stabilizing and settling back in to his role as starting PG for the Suns.  He had a few up and down games when he first returned from his extended absence, but has at least 27 fantasy points in four straight with an explosion for 52.5 fantasy points against the Warriors and a solid 39.5 fantasy points against the Lakers during that stretch.  He faces the Grizzlies in the last game of the night tonight, and since Memphis doesn’t have Mike Conley he should be in a matchup to attack. Knight is still a little risky given his recent return and bad home game last week, but I think he has a lot of potential for a PG play under 7K.
