High Value PG

Emmanuel Mudiay-Denver Nuggets (5,700): Mudiay has come back to earth after a great stretch of play early this month.  He ran off over 39 fantasy points in five of seven games in the first half of the month, but he has been held under 26 in four of his last five contests.  He definitely has the potential to turn it around tonight against the Cavs who have struggled against opposing backcourts lately.  Mudiay has scored in double-digits in each of his last ten games and is getting plenty of playing time.  If you are looking for a PG who is starting and has nice upside under 6K, Mudiay is the first place to look.

D.J. Augustin-Denver Nuggets (4,700): Augustin has fit in well into the Nuggets second unit since he was acquired from the Thunder at the trading deadline.  He has at least 30 fantasy points in four of his last five games and led the team with 24 points in their game against Charlotte on Saturday. Augustin is playing 25-30 minutes on most nights and has scored in double-digits in nine of his last ten.  He is a little risky since he’s coming off the bench, but I like his matchup and his current form, so he’s a solid sub-5K play tonight in Cleveland.

Brandon Jennings-Orlando Magic (4,600): Elfrid Payton did return last night for Orlando, but he came off the bench behind Jennings who remained in the starting lineup and had nine points and seven assists in his 31 minutes.  Jennings has at least 24 fantasy points in three of his four games which have all been starts in place of Payton.  If Jennings starts again tonight, he’ll have good upside against Boston even though the Celtics have a pretty stingy backcourt defense. If starting-∗ If not starting-

Ray McCallum-Memphis Grizzlies (3,200): McCallum is starting to look comfortable with his new team after joining the Grizzlies when injuries starting piling up.  McCallum played 35 minutes in his first start for Memphis against the Clippers on Saturday and had 14 points to go with two blocks, two boards, and three assists for a total of 25 fantasy points. He has two games over 24 fantasy points in his five with Memphis, and I think he’ll stick in the starting lineup after Saturday’s numbers. McCallum has a great matchup against the Suns who allow the most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG, so if he starts he has a ton of upside at under 4K. If starting-∗ If off the bench-

Tyler Ennis-Milwaukee Bucks (3,000): Maybe it’s just because my Orange have unexpectedly moved into the Sweet Sixteen, but I like the way former-Syracuse standout Tyler Ennis has looked lately with the Bucks.  Ennis has played 20+ minutes in three straight games and has produced at least 19 fantasy points in each contest.  Last night, he dished out six assists to go with his five points and two steals, and he’ll keep getting good playing time behind Jerryd Bayless as the Bucks visit Detroit tonight.  Ennis is a flier with much less upside than McCallum, but definitely keep an eye on him for the future even if you roll with Ray tonight.
