Texas comes in as the No. 2 seed in the Bridgeport Region and they’re coming off a big win, and coming into this one with a lot of momentum. In their First Round game against Alabama State, they flexed their muscles with a commanding 86-42 win, showing that they have their sights set on dethroning UConn, if that’s even possible.
Before they get there, though, they’ll have to take care of business on Monday night against No. 10 seed Missouri. The lady Tigers are coming off a First Round win over BYU, 78-69. It was close, but they’re still in the hunt and they can make a huge statement on Monday night by knocking off Texas and advancing into the Sweet 16. If they can put a complete game together, the job can certainly be done.
