NFL Rumors: Is Percy Harvin returning to the Buffalo Bills?

Is Percy Harvin coming back to the Buffalo Bills?

Last season was not the best of times for wide receiver Percy Harvin and the Buffalo Bills. Harvin only played five games, scoring one touchdown and hauling in 19 passes. He was supposed to be an extra weapon to take some pressure of Sammy Watkins and LeSean McCoy, but that never came to fruition.

Harvin got injured and eventually had the rest of his contract voided. He won’t suit up for the Bills this year and the Bills still have Harvin’s $2 million bonus taking up cap room.

Or will he suit up?

"“The last thing I heard, (Bills Vice President of football operations) Jim Overdorf talked to his agent and hopefully he’s going to make a decision in the next week or two of if he’s going to play, and if he’s going play, if he’s coming back to us,” Whaley said.”We’ll hopefully know in the next week or two.”"

The Bills don’t have a lot of cap room and already lost Chris Hogan to the division rival New England Patriots.

Buffalo doesn’t have a ton behind Sammy Watkins at receiver. They have Robert Woods and they added Greg Little and Jarrett Boykin, who have NFL experience, to futures contracts so far this off-season. Harvin would be a welcome addition to the Bills offense to give Tyrod Taylor another weapon coming off of an impressive campaign in his first year of starting.

The thing you have to wonder about is where Harvin’s head is at. He contemplated retirement last season because of injuries and has had chronic migraine issues. Can he come back and play? Does he have the desire?

If he does, he’s an exceptional talent.
