High Salary PF

Thaddeus Young-Brooklyn Nets (7,800): So much for getting Young at an affordable price… TY has been huge for the Nets lately and is in a good matchup again tonight against the Hornets, but his price is reflective of his recent success which does mean he’ll be slightly higher-risk tonight.  Young has at least 35 fantasy points in five straight games with three double-double’s and at least 20 points and nine rebounds in his other two contests.  He got even more focus on offense on Saturday with Brook Lopez out, but Lopez was able to practice yesterday and should be good to go tonight. The Hornets have been getting beaten by opposing PF lately allowing the third-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PF in their last five contests. While he isn’t a place to get a cheap option with upside anymore, Young is still a good play tonight given his matchup and his ability to give you 40+ fantasy points.

Zach Randolph-Memphis Grizzlies (6,900): Randolph didn’t have a triple-double last night against the Suns like he did on Saturday against LA, but he did still post 14 points and 13 rebounds for a very nice 34.6 fantasy points. He had an even-better 54.2 fantasy points on 28 points, 11 rebounds, and ten assists in his return from an eight-game absence.  Since his knee seems to be ok and he only played 30 minutes last night, Randolph is a good option again tonight against the Lakers who have struggled with opposing big men all season. ∗∗

Marvin Williams-Charlotte Hornets (6,100): Williams has had a few dozen games since going off against the Magic last Wednesday.  He only managed six points last night and played only 22 minute against the Spurs due to the size San Antonio brought up front.  Tonight, Williams should get more run against a Brooklyn team he can produce solid numbers against.  He averaged a double-double in the first two meetings of these teams this season, and he will look to bounce back after a few downers. He’s high-risk, but he’s the best play around 6K.
