Oregon – Tyler Dorsey

The Oregon Ducks could look to a number of players to carry them past the Sweet 16. Obviously they are going to need their star sophomore in Dillon Brooks to come to play as they go deeper into March Madness and the same can be said for Elgin Cook. However, the wildcard and the guy that everyone should be watching to see if he takes them to the next level is their star freshman in Tyler Dorsey.

Dorsey played the role of hero for the Ducks in the Second Round victory over the Saint Joseph’s Hawks as he hit a number of clutch jumpers in the waning moments of the contest. Dorsey is a highly skilled player and was one of the most highly regarded freshman in this incoming class. Though he’s shown the inconsistency of a young player throughout the year, he’s more than talented enough to make a big impact on a game every time he takes the floor.

With Dorsey’s ability and the propensity for knocking down big shots as of late, he could potentially make or break the Ducks as they take on Duke. He’s the type of quick, skilled guard that could really wear out the backcourt of the Blue Devils and ultimately push the No. 1 seeded Ducks into the Elite Eight.
