Russell Westbrook throws down another nasty jam (Video)
Russell Westbrook throws down an open dunk to help Oklahoma City in the win over the Rockets.
Russell Westbrook went for another triple double tonight against the Houston Rockets, with 21 points, 15 assists and 13 rebounds. His 15th triple double leads the league and is only two shy of the most triple doubles all-time.
Despite his ability to earn triple doubles at an ungodly rate, he can also get up and throw it down whenever he wants. This time, after his only steal of the game, he goes right past James Harden and slams it home.
Russell Westbrook has gotten in the habit of have no flare or flash to his dunks, simply just throwing it down as hard as he can. This dunk helps the Thunder extend their lead on the Rockets as they eventually went on to beat them 111-107. After Dwight Howard said this team was a championship team earlier this week, they gave a valiant effort, but came up just short.
If the Rockets really want to be a championship team, though, they have to win close games like this on the road. Being the eight seed in the west, they would have to play the Warriors in the first round. Russell Westbrook and the Thunder proved the Rockets have a lot to work on if they want to upset a one-seed come playoff time.
